The pbf was founded in 2003 by the “Philips UK Pensioners Committee” . It’s Declaration of Trust was accepted by the Charity Commission in 2004 and the registration number 1104243 allocated.

Objective of the Fund: the relief of financial need occurring to any person in receipt of a pension from Philips UK Pension Trustees Ltd.

Since the successful “buy-out” was completed in 2016,all pensioners’ and deferred pensioners’ benefits – on exactly the same terms as provided by the Fund  – are now provided by one of three UK based insurance companies in respect of Final Salary Plan benefits – Pension Insurance Corporation, Rothesay Life or Prudential.  

The pbf is still actively managed by three Trustees and this website will enable pensioners to keep in touch, view the Annual Newsletter and download an application form to apply for a grant.
